So Sick *Updated*

I was sent home from work on Tuesday. I left work around 2:30 and went to the doctors office. I waited for what seemed like forever. I had a temperature of 101.3 (and that's because I had taken Tylenol that morning) and I had blood work done and some breathing test. I got a shot and then went to fill my prescriptions. I got home and was literally in bed for the next two days. My Mom brought me dinner that night. Thanks mom! I still have the bruise from the blood work.

On the day that I got sick and had to go home, I received a package in the front office. It turns out that my little soloist Julissa Cuellar sent me flowers! Did I mention that during the Junior Competition last Saturday, my solo won 1st place. My girl was competing against two studio girls and beat them both! One of them had been champion for like years, so beating her was the icing on the cake. So her and her mom sent me flowers with a really nice card. That was so sweet.

So our dances are finally done and our Showcase is on Thursday. Our girls are definitely not ready but we are going to try our best.

Bella Baby

My kitty has been acting really funny lately. She has been meowing outside my door at night. Not a "I'm hungry, feed me" meow... it's a more wanting and longer sounding meow. It sounds really awful. She wants me to let her in to sleep with me. I let her in tonight and she walked around the bed for a while. She never stays in one place too long. She gets scared and distracted easily. She sheds too much fur for her to stay on the bed all night. I also think it's unfair to let her in and not Jasper. I was told that I favored Jasper more than Bella. I tried to rectify that by going out of my way to treat Bella nicer. Like giving her extra treats when Jasper wasn't looking. Or like tonight, letting her in with me. It just seems unfair now. I would let both of them in but Jasper tears up my bed and wants to play around too much. He would never let me sleep. So I keep them both out.

Good Luck!

This weekend is the middle school and elementary drill team competition. It is at S.P.I. and I'm heading out with my mom after school Friday to stay the night. I hope the weather improves. It has been cold and rainy. I love this weather, but when I'm at home in my comfy bed. I just want to wish the middle schools from La Joya good luck. I know all the directors have worked extremely hard and I'm sure it will all pay off. Go Coyotes! I also want to wish my little soloist from Trevino Elementary good luck as well. LET IT BE!

This week has been really hard. First our choreographer doesn't show up on Monday morning. It is very hard for me to wake up an hour earlier every day and still come home at 8. Its almost like working 13 hour days now. But to wake up and to go and just sit there is not fun for me. This old game is getting really tiring.

I'm happy to report that the kick routine I am making up is coming along. It looks good. There are a few things that I already know I want to change. It is a three minute routine that's fast and has more kicks than any other kick routine I have ever made up. I really like it.

I received a new book yesterday. I still haven't finished the ones I have yet, but this one was given to me. I'm debating whether or not to move it up on the reading list. I think that I just might.

New Years Resolution = Out the Window :(

I told myself my new year's resolution was to not stress over things that are out of my control. Today that went out the window. We have this fundraiser for drill team this Sat. and two of girls decide to tell us Thursday night that they won't be able to go because they have a competition on that day. Competition my a$$... we specifically asked them when every single girl was free, so that everyone could make it. They go and book a competition on the same day? I don't think so. On top of that they lied to us (the directors) and tried to make it seem like they didn't have a choice, and that they were notified yesterday. We got down to the bottom of it and found that wasn't exactly the whole truth. In fact it was a total lie. I was so angry I was shaking.

This totally sucks. I get so worked up over the smallest thing. The solution is simple. They don't go to the fundraiser, they get taken out of the dance. Simple as that.
Sure. ....Only thing is that we have to also deal with parents. Normally parents are OK, as long as they stay away...lol....no seriously. My message to parents with kids in after school activities: Please let us do our jobs. We have your son/daughters best interest at heart.

Well I'm still going to try to keep my resolution...but the team isn't making this easy.

Some notes: What do I really want out of my love life?

Bicycle Man

On my way home yesterday I almost hit a man riding a bike. I was at a light turning right, and I stopped to check for cars coming down the lane. I was just about to press the gas and go when I turned my heat and Bam!... out popped this man on a bike wearing a Bobcat letterman jacket. I had to stop and let the reality of what just happened sink in. I could have killed someone. It was so dark and dangerous for him to be out. If anyone has ever seen a Bobcat letterman they know it is not exactly the lightest color to wear at night. The majority of it is blue. After I collected myself, I got really angry. WTF was he doing riding on that side of the road. He was traveling against traffic! I mean it was practically like driving on the wrong side of the road. This crazy lunatic must have a death wish. I'm just lucky that I have really good vision.

Love Love Love this quote!!!

This quote comes from the show Cashmere Mafia. It's only the second show and it already has me hooked. It's sort of a Sex and the City knock off but with a more power driven, have it all, girl power attitude thing.

There is a part where a woman sort of threatens another woman's territory and here is her retaliation:

"Just so you know...I don't blame you for hitting on my husband. He's a good looking guy, and he's an adult so I trust him to make his own decisions, but Don't Hit On My Kids,.......ever again."

Haha....If you saw it you would love it too.

First Official Day

Well it started out really rough. I didn't go to sleep early last night because I took a nap after school, so it was a struggle for me to get up. I know the exact time I have to leave in order to get to work on time. I went grocery shopping last night, so that I could have lunch the next day. I don't like drinking La Joya for various reasons, so I bought a gallon of Spring Water. Well last night I leave it out so that I can remember to take it with me to school. Not a good idea. My cats must have been curious so they poked holes in it and when I woke up there was water everywhere. Luckily my keys were not on the counter so the remote wasn't ruined, but my bag however was. Needless to say I was not as early as I wanted to be.

After the brief chaos in the morning, the rest of my day was much better. My students really seemed like they missed me, and as cheesy as this might seem, I missed them too. The classes were not as prepared as I would have liked them but they were willing to take on the new changes.

Practice was great. I really think we are finally moving in the right direction. Only one thing will hold us back: Time. We have one month to get everything finished. Fingers crossed.

Back to School

School started today. It was a teacher work day so there were no students so it kind of eased us into it. This past weekend was stressful. I know money makes the world go round but sometimes it makes the world spin so fast it literally makes you sick. I am lucky enough to have my family there for me.

We went to Mexico on Friday. We ate, shopped, and walked around. I got some cookies and a couple of DVD's. We got home and I started helping my mom on a calendar project.

Saturday I slept. Sun wasn't much of a difference.

Now all the fun begins. Competition season is here. I will be going to the Island next weekend to watch then our season starts.

My sister has a meeting today with Prada. I wish her the best of luck!

Happy New Year!!!

Yea!!! 2007 is gone and the new year is here. There is a High School Reunion meeting today. I definitely want to go. I want to see how everyone is doing and it would be nice to be involved with the whole making of.

My sister is gone. She is now living in NYC. I am so very proud of her and I miss her terribly.

For some reason I always date my boyfriends more than once. Isn't that crazy? I mean all of them. Why is that? Is there something wrong with me? I really need to evaluate that little fact. It's not always my fault either.

So, another reason to vent: The considerate phone call.
Why is it so hard to pick up the phone and call a person? If your making plans with someone, and realize that your not going to be able to make it, why not call them and tell them? It's only right. Why leave them hanging and waiting?

There is a marathon of America's Next Top Model going on all this week. Cycle 1-9. I have seen almost all the cycles, but for some reason I can't stop watching. My new show that I can't tear my eyes away from is Crowned. It is so entertaining.

This weekend, I'm planning to go to Mexico with my parents. I am really looking forward to it. We are going to eat lunch, shop and hopefully I can buy a bottle.
